On October 25-27, 2010 was held the 2nd Workshop between Almazov Federal Heart, Blood and Endocrinology Centre and German "Institute of human nutritiont" (DIfE – Duetsches Institut fur Ernahrungsforschung Potsdam-Rehbrucke) on methods of estimation of factors, defining way of life, in population studies. The meeting included participants from Russian NICA project (Orienburg, Penza, Kursk, Kaliningrad).

The cooperation between Almazov Federal Centre and DIfE started in April 2009 and in December 2009 cooperation agreement between both institutions was signed and joint project proposal (german-russian cooperation in metabolic and epidemiological research) was presented. The 1st Joint workshop of Almazov Federal Centre and German Institute of Human Nutrition took place in Potsdam on April 26-27, 2010.

During the Workshop the topics regarding obesity and metabolic syndrome were discussed, particularly methods of diet, physical activity and stress assessment.
